It's been a busy few months here at The Literature Hub. Shortly after the Kids Corner was launched, Ashleigh and Ivy started investigating other ways to make the website even better.
Unless you're a new visitor to the site, you probably noticed our new look. As much as we liked the old design, we found that it was no longer working for us. We build our website using Weebly and Weebly Templates. The old design was using an old Weebly template. It wasn't compatible with mobile devices which meant that we had to manage both a desktop and a mobile site. However, our new design is completely mobile friendly, so we can cut back on how much time we spend managing the website and spend more time creating content for the site (in theory).
Unfortunately, the reality is that The Literature Hub is simply a hobby for us. As much as we wish we could run TLH as our full time job, we can't. We would need to make a boat load of cash from the site to be able to do that, but we don't. We have the Shop here on the site, but we earn 4% of the total sale price - sometimes even less than that. And because we try to bring you the cheapest available option when purchasing a book, we make next-to-nothing from your purchase.
So yes, in theory we should be able to start producing more content for our visitors. Prior to the release of the launch of the new site, we've also been working on creating new content. We have a few articles that have gone up the same time that the website goes live. We've got a few reviews for you as well. If you have any ideas for the type of content you would like to see us put up (book trailers, first chapters, short stories, maybe some of our own writing or interviews with the bookworms?) then please comment below or contact us. Without visitors to the site there is no site. Your input is incredibly valuable to us.
We hope you enjoy the new website design. If you find anything wrong with the new site, please contact us ASAP and let us know. We'd like to fix it as soon as we can.
Many many many thanks for visiting The Literature Hub. We wouldn't still be doing this if it weren't for you. Thank you.
