All Hallows Read. It’s a relatively new concept, and here at The Literature Hub we hope it sticks around. All Hallows Read was started by author Neil Gaiman, and the idea is to give someone a scary book (and also candy/lollies/sweets). If you want to know more about All Hallows Read, watch the video below.
Gaiman has come up with his own list of All Hallows Read recommendations (which you can read here), but we’d like to add to that. Below are our recommendations for All Hallows Read.
(Starting with the best of the best and working down the list)

I’ve wanted to shout this website to the world for a while now. BookBub is the worst kept secret on the internet, so you’ve probably heard of it already.
HOW IT WORKS:
BookBub alerts you to limited-time free & discounted ebooks that match your interests. Sign-up, select your favourite genres, and enjoy free and discounted ebook alerts delivered straight to your inbox.
WHY I LOVE IT:
With BookBub, you have the convenience of getting it all delivered to your email inbox. Instead of having to visit the website each day to check for new deals, you get them delivered to you. Considering how many people get their emails on their smartphones now, you’ll never miss a sweet deal.
I also love the fact that you can pick and choose what genre books you get. Love fantasy but not chick lit? Not a problem! I’ve used BookBub in the past, and it’s fantastic. It’s convenient, it’s easy, and it’s amazing.
WHAT’S THE CATCH?
None! That’s it! Free and discounted ebooks delivered straight to your inbox, and it’s easy to download. What more could you want?
OVERALL RATING: 5 STARS!

With the Fifty Shades of Grey movie coming out in about a week (here in New Zealand anyway) there's a lot of buzz about the franchise on social media. Recently, an article about the disastrous press tour turned up on my Facebook feed.
Did you know that Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson hate each other? And did you know that they both hated doing Fifty Shades of Grey? As research for his role, Jamie went to a sex dungeon. He was quoted saying that afterwards, when he got home, he had a looooooong shower before touching his wife and son. Also, he abhorred doing risqué sexual acts on a blindfolded woman. Dakota hated being blindfolded while he did them to her. So seeing as how the actors hated doing the movie, I don't think it will be a very good movie.
But anyway, this is a literature website, so today I want to talk about the books.
I kid you not, that is an actual line from the book. There are so many bad ones in the book, it's a wonder it got published. I'm starting to think that the person who chose to publish it doesn't know what good writing is.
